When does CAT meet?
CAT Meetings: Spring 2012
Welcome to a new and still very busy year! Throughout the spring semester, we intend to keep the format of offering CAT Meetings for relatively small groups (research meetings of CAT members), primarily project-related (like for the CySLI Project), and CAT Lectures for a larger audience (CAT member talks, informal presentations, and invited guest lectures). We're also waiting for our new CAT Lair to be completed — as soon that's done, there'll be an inaugural meeting. Stay tuned!
- CAT Meetings will be held in the new CAT Lair (Room E103, UCY Old Campus, 75 Kallipoleos, Lykavitos, 1678 Nicosia).
The scheduled slot is Wednesdays from 4pm onwards throughout the spring semester 2012. CAT Meetings serve the purpose of discussing strategies and plans, sit together in smaller research groups to write papers or prepare testing, meeting for brainstorming purposes, and so on.

CAT Meetings: Fall 2011
The summer break is upon us but the new scheduling and planning started already. Throughout the fall semester, we intend to keep the format of offering CAT Meetings for relatively small groups (research meetings of CAT members) and CAT Lectures for a larger audience (CAT member talks, informal presentations, and invited guest lectures). For the time being, however, we'll stick the former on a regular basis and announce the latter as they come up; a list of CAT working groups can be found here.
- CAT Meetings will be held in the CAT Lair (Room 311, Loucas Court, 48 Kallipoleos, Lykavitos, 1678 Nicosia).
The scheduled slot is Wednesdays from 4pm onwards throughout the fall semester 2011. CAT Meetings serve the purpose of discussing strategies and plans, sit together in smaller research groups to write papers or prepare testing, meeting for brainstorming purposes, and so on.

CAT Meetings: Spring 2011
As of January 2011, CAT will gather for two types of irregularly regular activities: CAT Meetings for relatively small groups (research meetings of CAT members) and CAT Lectures for a larger audience (CAT member talks, informal presentations, and invited guest lectures).
- CAT Meetings will be held in the CAT Lair (Room 311, Loucas Court, 48 Kallipoleos, Lykavitos, 1678 Nicosia).
- CAT Lectures will be held in a UCY Lecture Room (Room E009, UCY Main/Old Campus, 75 Kallipoleos, Lykavitos, 1678 Nicosia).
The scheduled slot is Mondays from 6pm onwards throughout the spring semester 2011, though we will not meet every week. The overarching theme is going to be 'Comparative Syntax' (coinciding with the cponymous seminar ENG 564 taught by Kleanthes), and we will focus in CAT Lectures on the topics most relevant for our participation in COST Action IS0804 ('biSLI'): wh-questions, relative clauses, clitic constructions, and more. Basically, anyone who would like to present something, should get in touch with Kleanthes by email.
The scheduled slot is Tuesdays from 4pm onwards throughout the spring semester 2011, though we will not necessarily meet every week with every CAT member present (though everyone is welcome, of course) and/or we can rearrange the day and time on a needs basis. Basically, CAT Meetings serve the purpose of discussing strategies and plans, sit together in smaller research groups to write papers or prepare testing, meeting for brainstorming purposes, and so on.

The week-by-week schedule and some downloadable materials will be posted soon. (Details on previous semesters can be viewed here.)
