The research project L1 Acquisition of Cypriot Greek Pronominal Clitics (CYCLIA) investigates the acquisition and development of pronominal object clitics by young Greek Cypriot children.

CYCLIA is funded by the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation for two years (September 2010–12) within the Programme «Young Researchers of Cyprus» (project protocol no. ΠΕΝΕΚ/0609/42), under the «Framework Programme for Research, Technological Development and Innovation 2009–2010» (ΔΕΣΜΗ 2009–10). The framework programme ΔΕΣΜΗ 2009–10 is part of the Operational Programme «Sustainable Development and Competitiveness 2007–2013» of the European Union’s (EU) Structural Funds (SF), and it is co-funded by the Republic of Cyprus and the European Regional Development Funds.

The CYCLIA project consortium is made up of the University of Cyprus as the Host Organization (HO) and the University of Cambridge as the Partner Organization (PA1). Dr. Kleanthes K. Grohmann is the project's coordinator (CO), which is investigated by Theoni Neokleous in the role of the Young Researcher (YR), and the participating personnel is completed by her supervisor, Dr. Teresa Parodi.
